Super Spring Break 2009

HAPPY EASTER. Jesus is Risen!
Ti, Luke, Me, Paul & Melissa (not in WI, this was a while ago)
April 3rd-present:
Union Grove, WI- Visited w/ Paul & Melissa. Did lots of stuff. Bowled (girls beat the guys...twice), made mini pizzas & TGIFriday's Jack Daniel's Grill Sauce (tasted just like it! Go to www.topsecretrecipes.com to find many favorite restaraunt recipes!), took our picture by a giant ear of corn carved out of wood, ate delicious, huge cinnamon rolls @ a local bakery, went to their local diner, went to ComedySportz (which was hilarious, wish i could go more often http://www.comedysportz.com/), played Rock Band, went to the Miller Brewery tour & found a picture sweatshirt for Paul that said, "Horsebreakin', heartbreakin', Cowgirl". It's not really that funny unless you were there. But really, who would own a sweatshirt that says that?!
We are thankful for a super time w/ them.

The last leg of our trip we went to Racine, WI to visit 2nd cousins of Luke. There are more of them but we saw Abby, Julie & Nate Bickel. We ate their best pizza in town & had a famous Wisconsin Kringle (both fattening & scrumptious). Luke & Abby got to play some music together, which is what they both love to do. Any chance Luke gets to play, he has this glow about him! I wish I were musically gifted! I live vicariously through Luke. We got to tour the Lutheran HS where Abby went & where Julie & Nate work. It was a very nice Lutheran HS. Oh, we also watched Abby & her JV soccer team in the freezing WI wind! Yikes! Thanks for the blankets.

Sooo we got back on Wednesday & got ready for Mom & Dad Bickel on Friday! They arrived safely. We went to the Good Friday service on Friday, Saturday went shopping for Easter Sunday dinner etc. Saturday night, my dad stopped by for the night & church. It was good for him to stop by as I haven't seen him since Christmas! (also Mom & Dad Bickel!) He had a big boot on his foot because he tore/stretched his Achilles tendon. Ouch. Sunday went to Easter service & Luke & I sang in the Choir. Easter services are always the best, as far as the joy of celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus in an intense way! Mom & Dad B cooked up a great feast (Luke & I minimally helped...they are just so good @ it & I don't mind when someone wants to take over the kitchen! ha) We give all the credit to them & loved the meal. Easter day was so relaxing & I think I took a total of 3 naps. how sad is that! haha but I loved it. I think everyone else enjoyed relaxing too while watching the Masters! It was actually fun to watch some 'exciting' golf. Titus arrived here today safely! They'll be here all week! whoohoo!

Choir Song-See What a Morning
See, what a morning, gloriously bright, With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem; Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light, As the angels announce, "Christ is risen!" See God's salvation plan, Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice, Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead! See Mary weeping, "Where is He laid?" As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb; Hears a voice speaking, calling her name; It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again! The voice that spans the years, Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us, Will sound till He appears, For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead! One with the Father, Ancient of Days, Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty.Honor and blessing, glory and praise To the King crowned with pow'r and authority! And we are raised with Him, Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered; And we shall reign with Him, For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
